Ο Γιώργος Τελώνης, είναι υποψήφιος διδάκτορας του τμήματος Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών στα Πληροφοριακά Συστήματα Διοίκησης με ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα στον τομέα των artificial intelligence, big data, data mining και sharing economy. Είναι παντρεμένος, έχει μία κόρη, και ζει στην Πάτρα, όπου και δραστηριοποιείται. Είναι απόφοιτος της σχολής Κοινωνικών Επιστημών στο τμήμα Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων και Οργανισμών με βαθμό 9,6. Έχει μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Διοίκηση Τουριστικών Επιχειρήσεων και στις Νέες Αρχές Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων ‘ΜΒΑ’ με εξειδίκευση στο Marketing όπου και αποφοίτησε πρώτος με «ΑΡΙΣΤΑ». Επιπλέον είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος με τίτλο «Διοίκηση Τουριστικών Επιχειρήσεων», με διπλωματική εργασία «Η Ακτοπλοϊκή σύνδεση Ελλάδος- Ιταλίας και η συμβολή της στον Τουρισμό. Διαπιστώσεις, προοπτικές, στόχοι». Μιλάει Αγγλικά και Ιταλικά. Εργάζεται στον χώρο του τουρισμού και της ναυτιλίας διατηρώντας γραφεία τουρισμού (IATTA και AMEX) και ναυτικά πρακτορεία, αντιπροσωπεύοντας ή εκπροσωπώντας μερικές από τις μεγαλύτερες εταιρείες του χώρου.
